Melissa is our Community Outreach Representative. Melissa brings years of experience working in client advocacy roles and as an admissions and outreach representative for substance abuse, mental health, and trauma-informed programs. As a woman in recovery herself, Melissa is passionate about empowering and expanding treatment options to those struggling. She has learned the best way to dismantle the stigma and combat the shame so often associated with substance abuse, is a loving, inclusive and welcoming community. In her free time, you can find Melissa playing tennis, enjoying live music, and cheering on Philly sports teams.

Dr. William received his medical degree from University of Benin College of Medicine. He was Chief Resident at the University at Harlem Hospital Center, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia. Dr. William is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), and Member of the Colorado Psychiatric Society.

Max is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. He completed his Master of Counseling at the Colorado Christian University, College of Adult and Graduate Studies in 2017. His experiences range from residential treatment, experience in complex needs for criminal justice clients, and dual diagnosis treatment. He also has a passion for working with individuals within the legal system and veterans. At Red Rock Recovery Center, Max facilitates person-centered, evidenced-based practices in group and individual sessions towards the goal of developing motivation in their change process. In his free time Max enjoys bowling, volunteering, geocaching, and rooting for the Baltimore Orioles.

Laura Beth “LB” Burkhalter, is our Alumni and Community Relations Manager. She is a Certified Naloxone Administration Trainer, Recovery Coach, Co-Chair of TPAS Colorado and sits on the National Board of Directors for TPAS (Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services). LB is a founding board member of Colorado Artists in Recovery and serves as an inspector for the Colorado Association of Recovery Residences. LB is passionate about creating a recovery community through music, creating sober safe spaces in the LGBTQ+ community and helping individuals sustain recovery through connection. LB is a human in long term multi-dimensional recovery, who celebrated 5 years of sobriety in November 2020.
Cole is a Colorado native and joined the company in 2020. He currently works as the Lead Recovery Support Specialist. Cole found his passion and purpose when he started as a Recovery Support Specialist. Being a person in sustained recovery from substance use disorder, Cole has a strong passion for recovery and helping those find what was so freely given to him. Cole is very dedicated and shares his experience, strength, and hope to show individuals that recovery is possible! Cole enjoys watching sports, playing softball, and being with family and friends. Taking it one day at a time Cole always remembers to trust the process and enjoy the little things.

Tristan completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Counseling and double minor in Family Studies and Addiction Recovery from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2008. After moving back to her home state Colorado, she completed her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Furthering her education, Tristan completed a postgraduate degree from the Denver Family Institute. Following graduation, she began working in day treatment with high risk youth where her passion for long term recovery began. Tristan began specializing in her work with families, and working with co-occurring disorders with Addiction, PTSD, Complex PTSD, Attachment, and Mood Disorders. Continuing her training, Tristan became a Equine Assisted Psychotherapist, using horses in a therapeutic environment to facilitate recovery and change.

Hannah Bingler is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor with a deep passion for helping people rediscover hope and purpose in their lives. After earning her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Denver, Hannah began her career driven by a belief that healing is always possible. Throughout her work, Hannah has walked alongside individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, helping them uncover their inner strength and build lasting change. Her approach is grounded in authenticity and connection, creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered on their journey toward recovery and self-discovery.
John completed his Bachelors in Government at Nicholls State University while working at the Lafourche Juvenile Justice department. Then got his Masters at University of New Orleans in Education. After completing his graduate studies, he moved to Tampa, Florida to work in the Juvenile Justice Department and work in the field for 20 years. In 2015 he moved to Buffalo Creek, Colorado and eventually became licensed as a LPC in the state of Colorado. He started his substance abuse treatment employment at Arapahoe House as a utilization review specialist. He also worked as a Clinical director for their adolescent residential facility. Once Arapahoe House closed he became the Utilization review specialist for Red Rock Recovery and then promote to Utilization Review Director 2019. He has worked in behavioral health for the past 25+ years, and continues to ensure patients get quality care. He enjoys cooking Cajun cuisine, mountain biking, hiking, working out and fishing.
