Dr. Jason Miller, the co-founder of both PostureWorks and its sister health center NutraWorks, is a well-respected chiropractic clinician, a certified Chiropractic BioPhysics practitioner and instructor, a nutritional counselor, and an educator. As a wellness and prevention based doctor, he is dedicated to being both a teacher and a student for the rest of his professional life. Dr. Miller takes a proactive stance towards health and believes the most important aspect of treating patients is educating them about the natural and effective methods of preventing disease before it begins. His passion for teaching others has lead him to accept a part time faculty position at Life Chiropractic College West, one of the worlds top chiropractic institutions, and he is regularly asked to lecture for the UCSF Medical Center and Medical School’s Wellness Committee. Though teaching other healthcare providers about Wellness and Prevention continues to be a fulfilling aspect of Dr. Miller’s professional life, his most important work lies within educating the public and empowering his community with the knowledge and tools to allow an individual to be his or her own resource for health and vitality. At San Francisco’s PostureWorks and NutraWorks, Dr. Miller provides weekly educational workshops that are always open to the public. These wellness workshops are an incredible opportunity for members of the community to educate themselves about the causes of illness and disease and the natural and proven methods of attaining or restoring health and vitality. As a clinician, Dr. Miller remains in full time practice, treating hundreds of patients each week. The postdoctoral specialty he practices and teaches, Chiropractic BioPhysics, is an evidence based corrective spinal rehabilitation method. Chiropractic BioPhysics has changed the landscape of all spinal health care, not just chiropractic. The technique is the most researched technique in chiropractic and its biomechanical analysis and outcome goals have been adopted by spinal surgeons, orthopedists, and neurologists alike. In his personal life, Dr. Miller and his beautiful wife, who is also a Chiropractic BioPhysics clinician, enjoy snowboarding in the winters and camping in the summers. He understands the importance of balancing hard work and hard play and strives to grow personally as well as professionally.

Dr. Scott Levin began his higher education at Brandeis University, where he followed a premed path while completing his bachelor’s degree in classical archeology and ancient history. His passion for learning and interest in prevention and wellness oriented health care led him to pursue his doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW) in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to his chiropractic education, Dr. Levin recognized the tremendous benefits of musculoskeletal care and even became a licensed massage therapist during his senior year of highschool. This knowledge of the musculoskeletal system alongside his desire to understand the intricacies of the human body propelled him to the top of his class at LCCW. At graduation he was honored with the distinctions of Summa Cum Laude and that of Valedictorian. During his internship and residence at the LCCW Health Center, Dr. Levin’s abilities were recognized by the faculty and he was asked to serve in the Radiology Department as a mentor for other interns completing their residence. He was later bestowed the 2007 Clinical Excellence Award for his work in the LCCW Health Center. In private practice, Dr. Levin invited his colleague and business partner, Dr. Jason Miller, to join him in a detailed review of the literature pertaining to chiropractic’s validity as a noninvasive treatment for chronic disability, improving recovery rates, and pain reduction. Dr. Levin posed the question, “If you reduce a patients pain while also increasing their quality of life, how much more productive does that person become?” The focus of Dr. Levin and Dr. Miller’s meta-analysis rapidly evolved to include the effects of pain and disability on the American workforce from a lost productivity time perspective. Their research culminated in the publication of Chiropractic Health Promotions, a referenced prospectus, which demonstrates that the investment of treating pain and disability with chiropractic care not only reduces lost productivity time and absenteeism, but also yields sub-stantial returns. In practice, Dr. Levin’s clinical acumen helps many hundreds of patients each and everyday. He is the co-clinical director of both PostureWorks, an advanced spinal and structural rehab facility that specializes in the evidence-based specialty chiropractic BioPhysics, and NutraWorks, a leading weight loss and nutritional counseling center that specializes in addressing the causes of metabolic syndrome and its component conditions. Dr. Levin’s knowledge and ability to teach others the value of prevention and wellness oriented health care practices makes him a trusted and highly valued member of the San Francisco health care community. He considers this to be a blessing and is dedicated to being both a student and teacher for the duration of his professional career. Scott is currently involved in an outreach program designed to teach parents and children in the San Francisco school systems about life long spinal health and proper musculoskeletal development.
